I have a little problem with your pattern. I'm Dutch and understand almost every abraviation(?), but I don't know what 2trb means. You use it for the flower which I like very much. Can you help me?
I am new to crocheting..i usually just make beanies. Can someone explain round 1 to me a little better? I am a little confused on how you end up with 40 stitches for the next round. My email is txfam4@yahoo.com. Thanks
I have the same question that Romberg Family has. Sort of a newbie and I am puzzled by this 20 to 40 stitch in the back stuff in row 1. My project is flat, not round :-( Is that right? Much thanks :-)
you begin by working a row of sc along your foundation chain (which gives you 20sc) THEN you work into the other loop of each of those same chain stitches (which gives you another 20sc)
you have now worked a complete round of 40sc... hope that helps :)
I'm having trouble understanding the pattern. I just got to the 40 scs, after that I get lost. I get confused where it says to join with slip st to beg ch. My work is flat, is it supposed to be like that?
I love this cute little bag and would love to download the pattern, but Adobe keeps telling me that the file is damaged and it can't be downloaded.
Is it really damaged, or is my computer being temperamental? I've tried to download the pattern about a dozen times, each time in vain, unfortunately!Your help would be greatly appreciated, as are your designs and tutorials.
Im so happy to have stumbled onto your blog! I'm just beginning a new line of crocheted items made of 100% recycled yarn. Could I possibly post finished projects here for critiques and feedback?
Stephanie... that sounds like an exciting venture you are starting on... would love to see what you are up to! if it's easier, you could email me directly at laughingpurple@myacn.net.au
Good day! This post couldn't be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this article to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Many thanks for sharing! Mancing
Thank you for posting the free pattern! It is lovely:) I have included it on my blog Karla's Making It (linking to your pattern, of course)! You can view it here http://www.karlasmakingit.com/free-crochet-patterns/free-crochet-purse-and-bag-patterns/

ReplyDeleteAMELIA IN VIRGINIA
yes - 2 trebles... thanks amelia
ReplyDeletewhat size hook is used for this pattern ?
ReplyDeleteI used a 3.0mm hook... because I wanted the stitches to be quite tight... but anything up to a 5.0mm hook would work well

Still dont get the 20sc 40sc thing. Am I just gonna have 2 rows of 20 sc on either side of the chain?
ReplyDeleteYes. Your starting chain will have sc worked on both sides, forming a round.
