I love my yarn stash,
and I especially love my stash storage...
it's just so damn 'touchable' all the time!
I can see and reach EVERYTHING (although admittedly, I do need a small stepping stool to reach the top shelf)
I originally wrote about my method of stash storage in this post here
... well that was six months ago now, and it is still working beautifully. Originally I had organised the yarns according to fibre type. But then I realised that I don't really care too much about fibre types... I'm way more interested in colour. So now everything is colour grouped into what my sister refers to as my 'rainbow wall'
And it's easy to find inspiration when you have a rainbow wall!
I am SOOOO jealous! I just have a huge bin with it all thrown in there. It is VERY unorganized. Your rainbow wall is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteBtw, where do u live that it is so hot this time of year????
That is a really cool way to store your stash!I keep mine in a small dresser nobody's using, but I can't really see it all at once like that because it's all stacked up on top of itself.
ReplyDeleteWow, I could spend my next holiday in front of your wall! Some yarn stores over here don't have such a varied stock, let alone organized in such an appealing way!
ReplyDeleteInspired? I would say completely mesmerized! that wall is drool inducing! I love it! can I print it into a poster and put it up in my craft room and pretend it is mine?
ReplyDeletethat's really cool! what do you have them stacked in? magazine bins?
ReplyDeleteREally envious of your storage system. My wool is mostly in the loft, in odd boxes, bins, sacks, tubs, all cluttered and muddled; MOre or less in colour order, but otherwise quite random. And then I have various places out of the loft that I keep wool - in drawers, in a suitcase, in a wicker basket. I have far too much wool to stack it neatly lol
ReplyDeleteI love it. Maybe when we have something bigger I will have to borrow your idea
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing a secret of mine.
ReplyDeleteI come drool at my computer looking at your stash when I'm aching for more yarn. Or after a hard day of classes.
; )
Send some of your heat wave up here will you? Thanks from Indiana!
i'm so jealous I could spit.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
wow, it is so beautiful. i want one!
ReplyDeleteEnvious of your collection and your organization. Tell me again why it is so wonderful to have a large stash, so I can explain it to my husband.
ReplyDeleteMy. Heart. Just. Skipped. A. Beat.
ReplyDelete(or two)
Siiiiiiiiiigh.....
That is so beautiful! And here I am with a few old carrier bags with my stash in. :) xx
ReplyDeleteWow, I'd be walking past the stash to get a flash of it all the time. Amazing. Love the arrangement of colours.
ReplyDeleteMy stash is still in boxes from our move. I have forgotten what I have got. Hopefully we will be moving into our house next month then I can have fun going through my boxes. Don't think I will be able to display them like your though. I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteWell done! You are an inspiration. I have been meaning to clean up my stash.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, what are you using as dividers?
I think it also looks so GREAT because you all wound them yourself and so have similarity or symetrie (? ) of sizes...
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring, thanks, Anne in Egypt
Wow, I am jealous, that is really beautiful. My stash is in a pile at the back of my closet. When I get a house I'm totaly using a bookshelf.
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you! Does look nicer, and more visually appealing, than before! Reminds me of the height of my sewing days when I had all my spools of thread arranged in rainbow fashion.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of your large stash collection.
That looks really inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI am drooling over your yarn collection!
ReplyDeleteMe encanta tu blog!!! Y me fascina tu stash.
ReplyDeleteTe sigo desde hace mucho.
