I don't often talk about my eldest child here on the blog...
He's a Teenage Boy - what funny little creatures they can be!
But I really wanted to share the gift he made me for Mothers Day this year.
I reckon its Pretty Damn Awesome for a 13 year old...
He made it in Woodworking Class at school.
The instructions were for a simple hinged box, with everything sitting squarely...
But "My Boy" wanted his to look a little different - so he implemented that fabulous curve.
I love that he has a burning need to do things differently than the norm.
Even if it does drive me INSANE at times...
13? When did he get that big.....
ReplyDeletethat is an awesome box! Good on him :)
ReplyDeleteWe know where he gets his creativity from! Truly awesome that he listens to his inner drummer. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Clearly creativity runs in your family. Awesome idea and fabulous gift. Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteYour son is very talented. That is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely & so creative... must be in the 'genes' I'd say... :-) <3
ReplyDeleteHe's very talented, run in the family! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Everyone...
ReplyDeleteI have to agree - he is VERY talented. He loved his arts and craft as a child, and then I was really sad when he abandoned them for a few years (the lure of computer games took over)... but he's settled back into his creative ways now.
Ahh we did these in school, it must be on the curriculum! Although mine was square, it was also very pink!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful box!
ReplyDeleteAnother free thinking Goldfish!!!!
ReplyDeleteGotta LOVE THAT!!!
13??!!! Really WOW like he flew through the last 6 or so years! NICE GIFT!!!!!! From the hands and heart!!!!
