peacock complete

2008_0925finito0016

The finishing off was easy!

I added some recycled buttons and beads for the eyes, then threaded some beads onto garden wire to make up the head feathers. Next was a little bit of embroidered detail to the beak...

And time to add the hooks

It looks AMAZING, You are so very clever. I'm so sure happy peacock is going to love this and have it on display at all times. Did you have to weight it?

I must admit, looking at yesterday's post I thought, eh... Not as cool as I thought it would be. I forgot how important the right finishing details are in order to really make something work. And this WORKS!! Beautiful job!

  6. jacqui - thanks... I do hope she gets a kick out of it... and at least I know I'm not sending her something she already has one of! I did end up weighting it... not ABSOLUTELY necessary, but gave it some extra stability... I used some glass marbles

  8. Yay!! His tail is most 'expressive' and functional. I think one of the eyes winked at me when I was admiring him...
