Received news last week that my dear friend had given birth to her gorgeous baby boy. So that really gave me the 'hurry along' in terms of finishing this baby afghan. Finally it is done. Washed, dried, and ready for the giving.

Standing ovation, vigorous applause, congratulations, it's gorgeous !
ReplyDeletethank you stramenda :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautfiul colours for a boy, a real 'masculine' rug, perfect.
ReplyDeleteAs I said, the colour combination is great, looks even better now that it's finished.
ReplyDeletebeccasauras - I love the strong, bright colours too...
ReplyDeletemisha - thanks again, it feels good to finally be finished this one... the last half is always a bit of a slog :)
Awesome! Looks like lots of comfy fun. :)
ReplyDeleteMan, I just love this blanket! I've been saving all my bits of cotton to try one out for myself. Thanks again for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe color is fab!
ReplyDeletelauria - the cotton really is comfy, and I'm always surprised by how warm it is
ReplyDeleteleslie - it's an excellent use for random leftovers... enjoy
oh2122 - thanks :)
As the very lucky recipient of the first baby afghan ( http://laughingpurplegoldfish.blogspot.com/2008/06/i-want-to-have-another-baby.html ) I can assure everyone that it's lovely and warm, and will get many admiring glances at the supermarket and Mothers' Group. It's a great size to drape over the car seat, and the colours make a beautiful contrast on our navy blue pram.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Mrs Goldfish!
awwwww... thanks tess... and ET looks so gorgeous when she is wrapped in it :)
ReplyDelete(who am I kidding... she's gorgeous even when she is NOT wrapped in it)
