Mrs. Goldfish, since I started reading your blog, what, 36 hours ago? I have made two (2) one-hour scarves, purchased a beautiful woolen sweater at the local Goodwill, and am listening to my dryer beat the snot out of it as I write.

That's an adorable doll. Jean Greenhowe's patterns are lovely. I have a few of her patterns circa 1988 (including an adorable scarecrow) that I have not dared to attempt because I afraid with my knitting skill, my version will not be as nice and adorable! Merry Christmas!

Well done! I think I will take your tip and make some variations to my collection. I have loads of beads that are used in beading to decorate dresses (the really tiny sort) that I can use, say in the middle of flowers or earrings, or on a fan....
:O I had this doll as a kid! my mom made one blonde version for my sister and a blackette version for me! I wonder if she still has the pattern, because I'd love to challenge myself to make a crochet version! I played with that doll for hours <3 Thanks for the flood of childhood memories.

i wish i knew how to knit. i tried once to learn from a "kit" but i couldn't do a stitch even with an illustration! duh!
