I've been piecing together some more of the Freeform Hat.
Watch these pieces grow...
First I stitched them together like this:
Then worked around the outside edge in single crochet (sc) with the occasional half double crochet (hdc) added to smooth ot any internal corners.
Followed by a round of crab stitch:
So now I have two scrumbles:
I've stitched them together
And added them to the others on the template...

wow!!!
I like it...
It's ... FALL :-)
I have been anxiously awaiting your progress on this since the first post. I love the colors! I am a fairly new crocheter and have learned a lot of great things from your blog. Thanks!! You inspired me to unravel a couple sweaters and save my scraps :) Perhaps I'll brave freeform sometime soon.

it's a very FALL inspired piece, which seems a bit topsy turvy since we are mid SPRING here in australia :)

it's wonderful to hear that you are now recycling yarn and saving scraps!
I learned to recycle from someone else's blog, so it's fabulous to be able to pass it forward like this
and BE BRAVE! give freeform a try
wink...
thank you!
I think it might be time for you to start dabbling in freeform... I put off trying it for so long, but it really is much easier than I expected... it's not complicated at all
I love this website.
