My Freeform Hat... Or is it???
So here it is.. the finished Freeform Hat...
It's my first attempt at a Freeform Hat, and I was thinking that it looked VERY fun...
Only then I tried it on (excuse my CRAZY eyes in the photo)
And I'm not sure if it's something a person would actually wear...
Maybe it's just a bit too fun!
Then I took a second look at it, and started thinking - HEY this would work as a bag!
So now I have a decision to make... HAT or BAG?
What would you do?
If you've got a moment to spare... leave a comment to let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks.

I say bag b/c I bet you'd use it more as a bag than a hat. However, from crochet bag experience, add some fabric lining inside to keep the crochet from stretching. Good luck! I like it a lot actually... and would totally rock it as a hat, but maybe not to work.
I love it!! it could double as an adorable purse/bag, your very creative!
As much as it would make a beautiful bag - I like it much better as a hat. It is totally original and unique, and would SURELY make a statement! Thanks for all your inspiration!
I love it, but I don't wear hats - so a bag it is! I can imagine it with a lovely corded/crochet strap.
I'd wear it as a hat and be really proud. Reading tour post about your hat has made me ever so slightly tempted to make one myself x
Why choose? Let the whim of the day decide. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't!
I like it as a hat, but if you don't make a habit of going to music festivals you might not have an appropriate venue to wear it in ;)
However, it shows your creative spirit and individuality and you should wear it with pride wherever you go, even to the grocery store.
It works as a bag, too.
I love it as a hat! It is very unique. Well done.
I like it as a hat but it would also make a great bag.
As a hat...you would definitely get lots of complements/comments.
I'd like one...it's FUN!!!
I think it would be an awesome bag!
I'd go with it as a bag. I've really enjoyed watching your hat (or bag!) develop. Looking forward to more.

Definitely a bag. I am not a hat person at all as I think they invariably look silly. Anything that draws attention to what you have stuck on your head therefore is a double no no. It definitely makes a lovely bag though.
I think it's a fun hat. I live in a place where it gets pretty cold in the winter, so I'd definitely rock the hat and get plenty of use out of it. Now if you don't think you're going to need such a warm cozy hat, you could probably bag it. But I still like it more as a hat. I may have to try one of my own some time!

Bag for sure, but I'm generally not much of a hat person anyway.
No no no, hat, HAT! :D It looks AWESOME on you! :D
Really, leave it. It's a hat.
A hat.
Hat.
HAT.
xo,
wink
you are so beautiful and can carry it off as a hat 100% (yes Im very sure I would tell you up front "dont put it on your head".... if it was not the case.... )
I want to begin a sea free form piece... its lends itself to nature so well

After another day's thought I would like to rescind my waffling and declare for the hat. It's a hat. I'm sure of it now. BTW, it looks great on you!
What a fabulous piece! I would say BAG as personally I wouldn't have the confidence to wear it on my head (!) but depends what kind of gal you are, if you have the confidence then go for it, if you feel a little foolish then whip up a strap and wear it across your body :-)
I am with the hat contingency. I think it makes an outrageous hat and you look really cute in it.
If you are not a hat wearer, then it probably would be better as a bag.
I like the comment that you could use it as either depending on your mood!
Either way, I love it!
I love it as a hat .... it would make a great entry in the Alice Springs Beanie Festival!!
Hat! Hat!! Hat!!!!!
I would do a hat....but I am just a hat person (:
My daugher would sooooooo rock this as a hat!!!! She is a hat person and I love love love your blog!! I am addicted!!!!!
just an update for you all...
a HAT it is!
will wear it this coming winter, and if it feels a bit too ridiculous, I can always convert it into a bag
